Sohagpur is a beautiful town about 32 miles east of Itarsi. The Friends School is separated from the rest of the town by the river ‘Palakmati’ a name meaning, the wink of an eye. The town is between Vindhyachal and Satpura ranges. Pachmarhi hills are about 40 miles from here.

In the central part of India 125 km far from Bhopal there is a small and beautiful town Sohagpur. In 1875 British Quaker Missionary opened the Friends Girls School Sohagpur . The School presently based in FWCC- AWPS and run by Friends Schools Governing Board India Itarsi with Quaker Associations. Those days there were practically no girls school in the surrounding area and Quaker Missionary were the first to start this Iconic Educational Institution.The historical journey of more than 145 years of Friends Girls School Sohagpur has been remarkable.
We have started construction work of 3 classrooms with corridor at Ground floor with kind support of Friends Schools well wishers. To start construction of 3 more classrooms (extension / First floor) and provide better facility of Washrooms Friends School Sohagpur needs generous support of parental Quaker Organisations ,

Warm Greetings on behalf of Friends Girls School Sohagpur (India). This is the new beginning to unite with the beautiful World & connecting well -wishers.
We are launching an e-newsletter with the title ” SMILE ” from July 2023. The introductory volume of SMILE contains School History , School Song , Introduction of Parental Body & Mentors – Teachers along with school activities.
We will circulate six volume in a year in alternate month.
